1. BARR BEACON - WEST MIDLANDS
"Barr Beacon car-park (NE of Birmingham near Walsall, on the main road from
Aldridge to Great Barr). The car-parks officially close at 'dusk' or 9:00pm
depending on which sign you believe, but access is normally OK right through the
night. If you go, check the maps on the notice boards. More than one car-park
with signs of activity, and you can get from one to the other on foot behind the
TV masts, but not by car..." (see below) Ian wrote: "In the Guide you have
Walsall, and list 'Perry Common' - never heard of this, but I do know about Barr
Beacon, near Walsall, this a busy place but can get clogged with single guys who
follow couple's cars around the car-park (stupid, fun-spoiling dick-heads).
However, I have had some marvellous encounters over the years, including a
memorable summer afternoon where this older guy let his much younger girl
(he=about 55, she=about 30) do everything with me in the long grass, I still
wank about that now! Saturday nights can get good, but really anything goes any
night from about 7:00pm..." See also comments under the Tog Hill heading
regarding bad Dogging behaviour! "Leave M6 at J7, take A34 towards Birmingham.
Turn left at large traffic light junction in Great Barr. Follow the signs for
Barr Beacon. Drive through Barr Beacon (there may be some action) and back onto
the main road. Take next right into another Barr Beacon parking area (there is
normally more action here)." "Two car-parks, open common land so plenty of room
for outdoor 'activity', myself and my wife have both watched and fucked here,
there also appears to be some swinging activity although we have not taken
part..." "Hi, I thought I'd share with you an experience I had recently at Barr
Beacon in the West Midlands (on the main road from Aldridge to Great Barr - head
for the North car-park). I pulled up at around 8:00pm, only one other car
there, an old guy who seemed to be asleep. Ten to fifteen minutes later, a car
pulled up with a young couple (mid 20s?) in. They appeared nervous but after a
short while they started to kiss with he taking the lead all the time. I stood
alongside the window, and they stopped petting and asked if I knew somewhere
more discreet - oh yes, of course I did, and we duly went to a very secluded
spot I know of. Once there I got out, she opened her door, and he started to
fuck her in the missionary position, soon she beckoned for my cock, which she
started to wank furiously, and he was really getting horny as well, he asked if
I wanted to suck her tits, Christ - I don't need asking twice, I gently teased
her nipples, and licked all around her gorgeous tits, then I asked if I could
play with her clit, they agreed, but no penetration, fine I thought and got on
with it, next time I looked up he was face down but she was looking straight at
me, smiling nervously, she then started to wank me really quickly, and took my
hand in her other hand - wow , that was really doing it for me, and we held
hands really tight as I spunked all over her and her hubbies legs, before wiping
up and saying thanks, and going home satisfied. What a fantastic woman, I've
been back in the desperate hope of seeing them again, but alas, no luck yet..."
PL wrote: "Barr Beacon can be fun if the blokes don't spoil it first. Of the
two Beacon car-parks the right is less pushy and better for an introduction..."
and TLK said: "...lots of boy-racers and young Asians, best to avoid groups of
youngsters in cars! Try also the wooded area behind the car-parks, some fairly
in-your-face (if you're lucky) fucking there at times, few gays due to
boy-racers (queer-bashing)." Charlie said: "Barr Beacon has two car-parks, both
approached from the main road (they don't connect to each other). One, the
smaller of the two, has no 'return' so you have to turn in the road to get out
again. The larger, 'U'-shaped one, has a fair number of boy-racers eating
carry-outs at night, but also has a couple of secure little in-shots up at the
rotunda. The small car-park is very much for consensual shows / watchers, while
the other has sufficient bushes etc to allow for peeping!" And, according to
another (rather over-excited) correspondent: "...couples actually are at it on
the grass on top of the hill!" Jay and Sareena wrote: "We are an Asian couple,
m30 and f28, both str8, she BBW, 38DD, pierced nipples, will be going to
Sandwell or Barr Beacon hopefully this Saturday night, or next (not quite sure).
We are very new to this / would love any ideas, we have read the Dogger's Guide
and noticed that the Guide indicates that Sandwell / Barr Beacon are both full
of pushy guys, drug dealers, boy racers etc - it has made us think twice but we
would be happy to chat or maybe, if..." "In over seven years of visiting Barr
Beacon and Sandwell Valley, on a regular basis, I have never seen any trouble.
You and others describe drugs, boy racers etc, this may be so on the large side
of the Beacon but not once have they bothered a couple or single that I know
too. There are always some idiots who don't respect Dogging rules, but I can
assure any couple, that this type of behaviour is quickly stamped out by other
Doggers. As a couple you would not even know it had happened! Barr Beacon and
Sandwell Valley are safe places where the couple are in charge and others
respect your wishes NO MATTER WHAT THEY ARE! Relax and enjoy the experience, if
you do not want the person or persons by your vehicle ask them nicely to leave
you alone as you are not doing anything at the moment. Don't start shouting and
balling as this often offends! I for one feel very safe when I take my partner
there..." Shouting AND balling eh? Better just keep to the screaming and
fucking, then, eh? Whoisit wrote: "IMHO Barr Beacon is better than Sandwell.
Big downer with Sandwell is the concrete pyramids in the gateways that mean
should a quick exit be required you are stuck, one car in the gate and there is
nowhere to go. Barr Beacon always seems less threatening to me. Walsall
aerodrome is even better. If you fancy an excursion further south there are a
few places round Coventry and Warwickshire and I'm sure I could get an audience
together for you, how many would you want?" "I was at Barr Beacon on Tuesday
night. After spending a while at one car-park with no luck I went to another
car-park. After ten seconds on the road I passed a Police car coming the other
way. I decided to go home and did a U-turn to go the same way as the Police
car. It turned into the car-park and stopped a car driving out at the same
time. During the evening there were a number of Police cars driving in the are.
No couples on that night. I thought it was supposed to be busy at Barr Beacon?
The only people who showed any interest were gay guys..." And got the following
(highly credible) reply: "What a load of bull, the Police do not frequent Barr
Beacon. I suggest you had a guilty conscience, maybe you car is illegal, or you
do not know where Barr Beacon is? There is always one to spoil it for the
others, go and make your stories up elsewhere! PS - I was there from 6:30pm -
2:30am. I saw no Police all night and had a good time too!" And, more sensibly:
"I agree. No need to panic or discourage people. Of course the Police
patrol... ...they have to. It's a regular part of their Patrol Area. And they
know what goes on! The do-gooders have complained to the Council about the
'activities'... ...and the reports have been in local papers a number of times.
And, of course some have computer and join news groups! (...pssst! some go
Dogging too!!!) But unless they catch you in the act they can do nothing.
(...when we were caught once we where only told to 'move on'... ...with a big
cheesy grin). They do have better things to devote Police resources to. As far
as I am aware many of the couples going to Barr Beacon and the old Airport do so
as a way of rounding off their evening. We seldom ever arrive much before
2:00am!" "Sounds to me like you were on the middle car-park... ...by the
refreshments. Better spot is by the trees or on the road up on to the top, near
the war memorial. The usual signal to invite attention is to switch the
interior lights on and off a couple of times... ...also, couples do not usually
arrive until well after midnight so as to avoid the kids. You could also try the
old Airport (on the club house car-park)..." Nobby991 wrote: "Anyone care to
give me directions to Barr Beacon from Sandwell Valley? Thanks in advance..."
"It's only about ten minutes away, when you come out of the car-park go to the
main road and turn right, carry on through the main lights (where you can turn
left for Motorway), follow the signs for Barr Beacon..." And more directions:
"Directions to Barr Beacon and Sandwell Valley from Stoke: drive down the M6 to
J7, get on A34 towards Birmingham, when you get to large set of traffic lights
turn left go straight on until you come to a roundabout next to Asda. Turn left
and carry on to the top of the hill and it's on your right. The smaller
car-park is just a little further on..." "Just got back from Barr Beacon and had
the night of my life - met up with a great couple - she was absolutely stunning
and so sexy. There was lots of fun had by all and to that couple from Cheshire
- THANK YOU!" Carol and Paul wrote (November 2001): "We went to Barr Beacon on
Saturday and had a good time, with about five males enjoying the view.
Unfortunately one was a bit persistent and put Carol off. We left but after we
left we had that certain male follow us and he continued to even after it was
clear that we didn't want him following us and we were going home. He hung back
so we wouldn't notice him but as he had a faulty headlamp he stuck out like a
sore thumb (is that the right expression?). All the assurances about how it is
safe as Doggers tend to be 'self-regulating' and keep the others in order were
set back by this offender. It has put Carol off for a bit, but probably not for
too long a she gets quite a kick out of being lusted after (by decent
people)..."
2. BATH - AVON
A: Bath, M4 Junction - "Off the M4 at the junction for Bath there is a rest
area with toilets etc and woods to the rear. I believe this is widely used for
straight and queer Dogging sessions ie voyeurism and exhibitionists..."
B: Claverton - "The nearest large city is Bath in SW England and the village is
called Claverton, about five miles from Bath on the A36. The River Avon runs
past the village and splits in two for a few hundred yards before rejoining
itself downstream. This has formed a reasonably sized 'island' in the middle of
the river which is accessible via a footbridge at the end of a winding lane.
There is also a weir before the river splits up. At this point the river is
very wide and shallow, with several stone jetties projecting from the bank.
During the summer, when the river is low, it is possible to walk from one bank
to the other across the top of the weir. Sounds like a good place to go
swimming, doesn't it? Lots of other people think so too, and so do people
interested in sunbathing or having picnics. Naturally, there are no changing
rooms in such a secluded spot, so people who wish to swim have to arrive wearing
their costumes or struggle underneath a find their own private spots.
Consequently, more clothes than usual come off, and there are usually a few
topless sunbathers to be seen. Complete nudity is less common, but I have seen
several examples. Obviously it's best to go on a scorching hot day. About
6:00pm is best for the best crowds (approx fifty to a hundred people), but
during the daytime, when it is less crowded, you will see 'different' types of
people, some less bashful
than others..."
C: Cotswolds - Tony wrote (October 2000): "...Off J18 signposted Bath there is
a parking area behind the lay-by. Gets hot at early evening. Gays near
toilets, couples at far side..."
3. BEDFORDSHIRE - GENERAL
A: A428 Bedford to Northampton - Johnw wrote (on January 09, 2001): "Went out
last night with my wife to a lay-by just outside village called Yardley
Hastings. She stripped to just stockings in car and then we fucked. Two other
cars were there with single guys in. One came across and started to wank
outside the car. My wife wound the window down the sucked the guy until he
spunked on her face and tits. We would like to meet with a couple or a woman
with a shaven cunt, as my wife wants her first taste of another woman. If she
gets that, then she will let the husband be the first to fuck her up the arse!
Let us know if you would like to meet, we would!"
B: Barton - "Up the A6 past Barton, turn left at pub. Go up the road for two
miles, follow track on left for one mile. Often flashing/swapping on Friday /
Saturday nights (midnight)..."
C: Bedford, RAF Chicksands - "Off the A600 Bedford to Shefford road in
Bedfordshire. Approaching from Bedford, take the right turn to what was RAF
Chicksands. About two hundred and fifty yards on the left is a car-park which a
number of pull-ins. It looks ideal! Whilst I was there a couple parked and
went straight into the wood... ...which, with plenty of paths and ferns for
cover, looks ideal for fun..."
D: Brogborough - "Very close to M1 J13 on the A421 travelling in the direction
of Bedford from the Motorway. It is predominantly (but not exclusively) used by
gays. On entering the site drive up the service road and keep going past the
entrance to the site proper. At the end of the service road is a path leading
straight on. Take this, and on the left are fields, on the right are woods.
Both sides are used for sex..." and: "...I have had many an enjoyable evening
with my wife, displaying from the safety of our car and for the benefit of lots
of voyeurs at a place called Brogborough picnic site. It can be found at M1
J13. If you are heading northbound, as we are, as you leave the M1 turn towards
Bedford and about half a mile on the left nearly at the top of the hill there is
a left turn into a picnic site. We have seen several other couples there as
well as various gay men. It seems a discreet place although it is checked
regularly by the Police they only seem to be interested in the gay men and do no
more to couples other than to ask if everything is okay..." "Does anyone know if
couples visit this site? Have visited several times in the last few weeks but
only single guys. For those who do not know the site, it's just off M1 J13, so
quite close to Milton Keynes." "Went to the woods behind the picnic site at
Brogborough yesterday afternoon. Several gays enjoying sucking each other off,
but no women around. Does anyone know if couples use this place? It seems
ideal, as it is by the M1 and five miles south of Milton Keynes..."
E: Buckden, Grafham Water - Grafham Water, near Buckden - "This is just off the
A1 and is an excellent site. I meet a couple there regularly, and show with
girlfriend. Never been disturbed by Police. The east car-park is the best as
the west car-park is mostly gays (the west has toilets, the east is near a model
farm). It really is highly recommended, secluded especially after dark." "This
reservoir has a number of car-parks / picnic areas around it, accessed on the
B661 west of the A1 from Buckden roundabout. I am told that these might be
used, but as yet have no positive sightings, they certainly look 'right'
however." And, in April 2000: "Two trips last week, both disappointing. Three
or four couples in total but all very furtive and shy!" "Yes, I like a bit of
Dogging and me and my good lady often give a show at Grafham Water to fellow
Doggers..." "There are two car-parks - one is on the Perry Road and the other
is next to a 'model farm' - this car-park is more open but seems to be the
better of the two. I've been a few times recently and there hasn't been
anything happening. It could be more of a summer place..." "Have been to
Grafham during a summer night - looks a great location - shielded from the road
by a big hedge, but once in the car-park, it's very open, and there's an icy
wind! Not sure what it'd be like during the winter, and especially during our
current excess of water!" Paul wrote (October 2001): "I was at Grafham Water
last night and two couples turned up at about 11:30pm... ...about four blokes as
well, we all had a great time... ...it's getting better again as a meeting
place..." "I was at Grafham Water yesterday (Tuesday) evening. Both car-parks
were deserted - not even any gays / bis. What a waste of such a good
location..." "There ARE three car-parks, despite reports of only two that I've
read... ...there's the two main car-parks with the gates. Plus, if you go out
past the Model Farm, past the car-park there and into Grafham itself, the road
has a branch to the left with a sign for a caravan park. Go down here for a
mile or so (it's a dead end, so you can't go too far!) and there's a small,
free, car-park there. However, I've been there and at the other two car-parks
at all kinds of times and days and have yet to see anything at all..." "...We
have been there about twelve times in all the car-parks and it is a total waste
of a super site. We have only ever seen one other couple there and one or two
single men. Unless there is a dramatic change we shall give up going..."
Virgil agreed: "I agree. I have yet to see anything at all after too many visits
to remember..." Merve the Perve wrote re the fact that there's only one eff in
Grafham: "I know there is always one smartarse, and this time it just happens to
be me, but Grafham Water only has one F. There are three main car-parks, all
well sign posted, one for the Fishermans Lodge near Perry, one by the AWS water
treatment works and the other is the other side of the lake where you can hire
bikes and have a cup of tea (during the day, of course). There is also one
unofficial car-park down a little lane but very close to some houses and it
wouldn't be easy to find in the dark if you don't know the area..." "I have
been to all three car-parks and not seen anything for ages!"
east_anglian_couple@yahoo.com wrote (November 2001): "Firstly we have to say
that we've only recently found out about all this but we think it's great, we've
been missing all the fun it seems! We are a married couple in our early 30s and
we've been to Grafham before and had a few experiences but nothing particularly
memorable, unfortunately. We are hoping to visit Grafham on Saturday the third
of November between 11:00pm and midnight and we usually go to the middle
car-park, just along from the water treatment works. Really we just need a
little help with meeting up with like-minded people and not getting hassled by
the usual boy-racers that seem to frequent the car-parks!" Paul wrote: "Grafham
to me has always been a mystery... ...great place... ...but very seldom used...
...the best times to turn up there are on Fridays and Saturdays... ...always in
the evenings at about 10:00pm... ...for couples more local I would say give it a
try... ...two there last night and the night before..." A big thank you from a
well-satisfied Rachael and Matt (November 2001): "Just a quick thanks to all the
guys that helped us with our first foray into serious Dogging tonight (Sunday
11th) in the model farm car-park. We had a great time and most of you seemed to
be thoroughly enjoying yourselves as well! We feel that we must thank you all,
you were all perfect gentlemen, no 'window knocking' or 'door opening' until we
made it clear we were looking for more than just being watched and every request
was accompanied by a 'please' and 'thank you', not difficult to do but rare to
find in this day and age, we have found! Grafham Water has a great WWW site
that seems to only have serious members that do take notice of the Dogging rules
and etiquette (unlike some we could mention but won't!). For anyone that was
there, we were the couple in the grey Vauxhall Cavalier with the extremely horny
wife and extremely happy hubby and we hope that all those involved will stay in
touch, keep us posted on forthcoming plans or just drop us a quick 'Hi', we'd be
interested to hear what you guys thought of the nights entertainment, not too
sure if we went about it the right way or not!" "Grafham Water is getting busy
on Fridays and Saturdays, but don't bother turning up before 11:00pm (ish)...
...then it gets a lot more sexy!" "I tried Grafham once before but found nobody
there and that was in the summer. Probably I was in the wrong place..." That
Wise Old Dogger Walter Warthog (warthog2306@yahoo.co.uk) wrote (also in November
2001) in reply: "IMHO anyone who asks where the 'correct' place for Dogging is
has missed the point. There is no 'correct' place, sometimes you get lucky,
sometimes you arrange to meet. The luckiest place at Grafham for me has always
been the north car-park by the model farm, however I have also been lucky in the
south car-park. Good Doggers are patient, persistent people. We spend a lot of
time in cold dark car-parks waiting and every now and then we get lucky..."
and: "I have had lots of evenings looking at trees, I have also had some
fantastic evenings there, best for numbers was hooking up with five separate
couples in one evening. The most memorable evening was one cold night in
January with two 'twenty-something' girls putting on a les show with a huge
dildo in a camper... ...I was one of three cold chaps who got to watch (but not
join in)... ...but after they finished their show, one of the girls looked after
our needs and warmed us up... ...one by one!" And Ken wrote (November 2001): "I
was at both middle and Model Farm car-parks on Saturday, middle car-park there
were two MPV (minibus) vehicles, one with interior light on, I made all the
patient polite signals but I think they had found their 'friends' for the night,
went across to the Model Farm car-park and there were two cars parked close
together, again I think I was too late and didn't want to interrupt the 'flow',
never mind, next time maybe..." And another, rather more satisfied, Dogger
wrote: "To all you couples and Doggers, I still do suggest Grafham Water as the
place to go now... ...five weekends in a row I have had two or three couples
turning up at about 10:30pm till 2:00am wanting to have some fun... ...everyone
has had some fun... ...it's near Huntingdon..." A wide variation of opinion
here, for some reason, but at least we have the spelling sorted out, eh?
And a footnote: After much 'talking up' of Grafham, a bunch of Doggers were
sorry to discover that the 'women' they'd been getting led on by with invites to
a public gang-bang at Grafham on various WWW sites were in fact... ...men. At
least they were dressed up as women! As one sadder, but wiser, Dogger wrote
(November 2001): "Well, after looking forward to Grafham and hoping to see
possibly two playful girls / women ie Rosie and, or Claire, I was at a loss when
I discovered that Rosie is actually a guy who likes to dress in women's clothing
and on talking to a few of the other Doggers who go there on a regular basis I
was also soon to find out that Claire is a guy too. How sad for me and all the
other Doggers who arranged to get themselves there for the event. As for both
of these people posting pics of themselves on the net (supposedly of them in
action) I'm afraid to say that according to my fellow Doggers the pics are not
of Rosie or Claire. Just another of life's lessons: What appears too good to be
true, probably is!"
F: Dunstable - "Dunstable Downs car-park between Dunstable and Studham is very
good in early evenings..."
G: Northampton - "Big pull in lay-by on the A43, six miles north of
Northampton, heading towards Kettering. Mostly weekend action. You name it, it
happens..."
H: Sandy - "East of Sandy on B1042 road to Potton, at 'The Locomotive' pub,
turn left (north) into a narrow road past Deepdale Water Gardens. This leads
into woods adjacent to the entrance to Sandy Heath TV mast. Beyond here the
track continues as a bridle-way through to the Sandy to Everton road. Some maps
show this as a public road all the way, but I doubt this! The bridle-way
section at the north end is often used for discreet daytime meetings, I have
seen a number of two car meets here although have not pursued this further
yet..."
4. BERKSHIRE - GENERAL
A: Bracknell (another ex-site) - "The best place was on the A325 to Bracknell
near Ascot. Unfortunately it was closed two years ago. As many as a hundred
people went there on any evening and during the day. They must be going
somewhere else nearby but I don't know where. I could tell you some wonderful
stories of that place..."
B: Guildford / Farnham - A31 (the Hog's Back on the Surrey Hills) from
Guildford to Farnham: "There is a lay-by (large) with access to bushes and
fields."
C: Maidenhead - "There is a place (car-park) near Maidenhead Thicket car-park
which can be good occasionally..." "This is basically a gay/bi cruising ground
and I have never seen any male/female couples there. It's very easy to find -
and there are actually three places close by each other. The first one is very
gay and very well known and that is next to the Bisham Abbey roundabout on the
A404 between the M4 and the M40. The area is on the M4 side and can only be
accessed by driving towards the M4 and taking the first left into the car-park.
The Police know this area well and it has regular patrols..." "Try Pinkneys
Green in Maidenhead..." "Off to Maidenhead tonite, Pinkneys Green etc...
...just maybe some couple will be there!"
D: Marlow - "This area is further on towards the M4. Continue down the A404 and
take the exit off for the A4 (Maidenhead/Reading). Turn left at the roundabout,
towards Maidenhead and then left at the next roundabout. Two hundred yards down
the road there is a car-park with a height restriction and at the end of this
car-park there is a bridge that goes over the A404 and into the thicket. This
area is less regularly patrolled by Police, but more frequently used by
'legits'..." And: "Take the A404(M) from Maidenhead towards Marlow. After
passing the Henley-on-Thames turnoff (about four miles) you will see a lay-by on
the left, with a 'P' sign. Park and walk away from the road into a clearing
with Picnic tables. This area is where you meet up. Or you can continue
walking away from the road, through a gap in the hedge, across a lane and into
the woods where more action takes place. Mainly bi and gay and TV, but the
occasional couple displaying." Also: "If you keep on the A404(M), when you come
to the first roundabout, loop right round and go back along the other side of
the dual carriageway. Almost immediately take the left filter up a slope and
into a car-park. Walk into the woods and head right. After five minutes, head
into the trees on the left. Mainly gay and bi, occasional couples..." "Another
area, where I believe 'something' must go on, can be found as follows. Exit the
second area above and turn right, away from the roundabout. Half a mile down
the road there is a turn to the right (first right basically) and this has a
car-park and woodland on the left hand side - I've often seen people hanging
around there..."
E: Slough, Lanley Park - "Leave Black Park (Slough / Uxbridge Road) and join
dual carriageway and Lanley Park is next right..." and "Saw several couples just
hanging around on Wednesday afternoon".
F: Slough, Black Park - "Black Park on Slough / Uxbridge Road is a good site
for couples..." "Once invited to join in but usually just watching..." and
"Check out Strawberry Wood in Black Park. Both car-parks popular with 'two-car
jobs'..." But: "Both of these are locked during the night - I think that they
close at 6:30pm during the winter and 8:00pm during the summer. They are both
Pay and Display which means that there must be some kind of supervisor (Black
Park is £2.00 to park and there is an on-site shed). I've visited a number of
times during the days and both are very popular with walkers and families so if
anything goes on then it must be during the night and in the lanes around the
parks."
G: Virginia Water, near Ascot - "Well-known beauty spot very popular with
straight couples in summer. Check out the walks along the banks. One beach
popular with nude bathers. Also check Valley Gardens on the North Bank of the
main lake. Site has a 'Pay as you Leave' car-park (£1.00 in 1999)..."
H: Windsor Great Park - "Large car-park on left from Windsor, last car-park on
right, both good during the day."
I: Reading - "As for Reading... ...how about using Kings Meadow car-park or the
Holiday Inn one... ...that used to be the hot place and it is still listed under
the gay guides... ...CFS is THE place in Reading for both gays and straights..."
J: Reading, Tilehurst Station - Outdoorfun10 had a good time: "This may be a
new site... ...it is to me.... ...got back to Tilehurst Station (outskirts of
Reading) last night about 8:00pm, noticed a couple sitting in their car in the
car-park cuddling up to each other. I walked past and had a sly look, then
walked back. By this time her skirt is around her waist, legs open while he
goes down. She saw me looking and smiled so I guessed it was cool to watch. I
started jacking off, and she wound her window down, so I walked over and she
half wanked, half sucked me off. He was about fifty, she around forty...
...very pretty face but very fat. They said that they are often at Tilehurst
and said that other couples also use it (I can't confirm that, and I've never
noticed anything going on here before... ...it's a good location though after
about 7:00pm when most of the commuters have picked up their cars as it's very
quiet)...."
K: Uffington - Sarah wrote: "Come and watch us at White Horse Hill at Uffington

5. BLACKPOOL AREA
A: Blackpool - 'Sand Castle' fun swim-centre in Blackpool - peepholes in the
(communal) changing rooms. Also a cruising area at (south?) end of promenade.
B: Blackpool, Bispham - "Go north along Queens Promenade (A584) then turn left
at the Bispham tram stop onto Princes Way. The public toilets at the tram stop
are a notorious gay haunt. Between these toilets and the second shelter on the
front is a stretch of road where many cars park for exhibitionist and swing
scenes. The second shelter is often used by gays and hetero exhibitionist
couples for open sex."
C: Lytham St Annes - "I am told the sand dunes at Lytham St Annes are also a
good place to go, but haven't tried personally!!!" But (a big BUT): "I notice
you mention the dunes at Lytham St Annes. I have heard about a lot of Police
activity mainly aimed at the gay trade but also affecting the straight scene. I
would not recommend this place to anyone." "I see that someone has already
posted a warning, well, take heed, it is a spot frequently watched by the Police
(plain clothes), for a lot of gay activity goes on there. Last year quite a few
convictions. Also the lower promenade past the Bispham toilets. Beware. I
have only ever seen a genuine couple there once..." However: "...there is a
super area for couples who appear to show off and do not bother if any cars are
in the area. I have visited several times, always after 8:00pm. The location
is in Lytham St Annes in the car-park adjoining the Sand Yacht Club at the end
of north promenade." "We go on the sand dunes opposite Pontins at Lytham St.
Annes. Both attractive, in our forties and love to be watched or watch others.
Any suggestions? Female bi-curious..." "Me and my partner have had some VERY
good nights there!"
6. BOLTON AREA
A: Bolton, Entwhistle Reservoir - "Just off the A666 north of Bolton, there are
two car-parks near the reservoir, again ideal, far enough from the road so you
can't be surprised by cars coming in, Police etc. You can see the headlights
etc. Again, picnic tables for those al fresco moments. We went there tonight
and had a real good time - met the most polite voyeur in the universe :) He is a
regular and says that this site does not get as much use as it could due to its
distance from habitation." "If you head out of Bolton towards Blackburn on the
A666 through the village of Dimple you will encounter a minor road on your right
signposted Turton (B6391) - the road is called Greens Arms Road. It first winds
a little and then by looking to your left you will catch sight of the reservoir.
The first turning on the left will take you over a cattle grid and down a tarmac
lane to the first (top) car-park (in our opinion the better one). If you do not
turn down this one but proceed to the next left on the B6391 and turn down there
you will eventually come to a bridge across the head of the reservoir - just
before the bridge is another car-park (on the right)... ...this one is also good
but not as good as the top one." "Take the Turton turning off the A666 onto
Green Arm Road, follow road until sign for Batridge Barn Car-Park on left, take
that road down to the water (across cattle grids). There is a small lay-by on
the access road, don't use that, but keep heading down to the picnic-tables
(ideal height for fucking, been there, got the T-shirt!)" (TLK) Terry Senior
wrote (September 2001): "Just come back from Blackpool area, tried out the
Entwistle car-park near Bolton on Tuesday night. Had fun with a couple at the
Batridge Barn car-park, if they read this then I would like to thank them for a
very entertaining night (they were in small Fiesta). Just a pity that of the
two nights I went there, the Doggers spent most of the time running from one
car-park to the other, headlights all over the place, they scared one couple
off..." "Well it all happens around Entwistle reservoir, on Wednesday and
Sunday nights around 9:00pm-10:00pm but don't be put off by the single Doggers,
they're a good bunch and never get pushy..." Opinions differ: "Been there
Thursday night, no joy at all, either gay men on the A666 or an old couple (and
only one) at Entwistle, where do all the younger couples go to be Dogged?" Chay
replied: "Entwistle Reservoir is a really good place I think, had some great
times there! I think more people should know about it, but one of the biggest
problems I think is not knowing if parked cars are swingers or not. There
should be a code so that Doggers and swingers don't end up sitting around for
ages and then driving off 'cos not everybody wants to take the chance. I think
you should flash your lights three times or something..." "I worked down that
way for a year, in many visits I only 'scored' once, in the bottom car-park..."
wrote Trikesman. "Been to Entwhistle today, nothing going on, when is the best
times to go morning or night also lots of Police signs, is it iffy, where does
the good stuff happen, car-park or woods, send info so we can put on an
anonymous show..." Er, yes, maybe. Bob wrote: "Fridays at Entwistle top
car-park around 10:30pm to 11:45pm - always a few Doggers, not idiots running
round with headlamps blazing away..." "Watch out for the older, rather prim
looking, couple in the white Daihatsu (or similar) micro-van, they flash other
couples in the big lay-by and are alleged to play if they fancy you..."
B: Bolton - "On A666 to Blackburn, one mile north of Egerton, long lay-by on
right of main road (half a mile long) with multiple parking bays, some gays
cruising. Truckers and couples, also action in pull-ins on roads surrounding
Delph Reservoir (look for yacht club signs in village)." (TLK)
C: Bolton - "There always seems to be plenty of couples in cars on the main
car-park on the way to Rivington... ...this is the one which leads up to the
castle. There are also lots of secluded wooded areas..."
D: Singleton - "Lay-by on Lodge Lane (B5260) on left going south from junction
with A586. Sharp left bend and lay-by on left also. Some late night activity."
E: Shiffnal Street - In November 2001, alvink13@yahoo.co.uk wrote: "Try
Shiffnal Street car-park, on Saturdays..." But, he may have been mistaken:
"Shiffnal Street is the red light area... ...you only pay for it there m8!"
wrote a wiser and wealthier Dogger.
7. BRISTOL
A: Clifton Bridge - Jim wrote: "Try the meadow around camera obscura tower at
Clifton Bridge viewpoint. Used by couples (courting and swinging, also
families, so be discreet) and gays, also in bushes and trees around meadow.
Park at the bottom of the approach road and go the rest of the way on foot - try
to act like a tourist if you want to recce the joint..."
B: Durdham Down - "In Bristol, you can find couples on Durdham Down (mainly
Friday and Saturday nights) on the road known locally as 'Ladies Mile'. This is
an unnamed road, but can be identified as it is the only straight road which
goes through the middle of the downs (open greenland). Interested couples will
flash their interior lights, or headlights to attract attention. I have found
Saturday to be the best time to go, though around 11:00pm-12:00am is the more
popular time if you were to go on another weekday." Maria wrote (January 2001):
"We are on the Downs some nights, 5:00pm onwards, anyone welcome to join in..."
Sexy Bristol Couple (50s) wrote: "We are still seeking good sites locally, have
tried the Downs but too much traffic disturbance..." Anita replied: "We always
find the Downs far too quiet as well as being very open ... ...Togg or the A46
can be good when the idiots are not there but saying that everywhere has them
anyway... ...we were at Togg the early hours of Sunday morning after a party and
some nice people were around... ...and Sunday evening there were some nice ones
there but we didn't stop long that time... ...have fun and good luck..."
C: Tormarton - "Six miles from Bristol. From M4 J18 head to Bath, turn right
into rest area and weighbridge. Keep going right to car-park and toilets. Gays
and TVs haunt the toilets, also go into woods on left as you leave main road.
This is mainly flashing and meeting to go onto many lanes, in particular the
pylons (some couples 'promenade'). Only about three miles from Tog Hill, so
many faces familiar at both sites! The Motorway is close by and it is also well
lit so it's good for video and nervous or first timers, but not really suitable
for any large-scale activity (also visited by Motorway traffic cops quite
regularly)." (AG and Charlie).
8. BUCKS / NORTHANTS - GENERAL
A: Apsley Woods, near Milton Keynes - "Good site... ...between Bow Brickhill
and Woburn Sands... ...main car-park closes at night, but there's another one
further down the road (toward Bow Brickhill village) that's well worth a try."
Also: "Between Bedford and Milton Keynes. Go west on B5130 at Woburn Sands
double mini-roundabout, towards Woburn for about half a mile. Turn right into
woods (red sign for Woburn Golf Club). Main car-park (locked at night) is some
way on the right. Further on (a long way) past the Golf Club and radio mast on
left, there is a small car-park on the right, going down the hill into Bow
Brickhill - very good I've heard." "Follow road past Marcon on right and 'to
the church' sign on left and on right on 12% hill is a super little bowl shaped
car-park in oak wood. Many couples fuck here, high sides invite onlookers from
above!"
B: Cockshoots Wood - "On A413 between Wendover and Great Missenden (signposted
'Cobblers Hill'). Used to be really busy here with couples either in cars or
using large woodland next to parking area - seems to have dropped off a bit but
used to be regular couples who let people watch / participate (real name,
honest!)." "I visited here on a Friday mid-afternoon and saw one couple (with
two cars - naughty!). She was giving him a BJ when I pulled into the car-park.
I parked about five car spaces away, but they didn't carry on with anything
other than kissing and fondling. Easy to find - on the left hand side as you
head from Great Missenden to Wendover. The lane is quite long and very narrow
and the car-park is right at the end." "Tried a Monday evening after work.
Five or six cars with single guys in (at least two were gay / bi and had some
fun in the trees), and one couple in two cars who were tidying themselves and
leaving, after doing 'something' in the woods - probably just an innocent walk!
Another visit - this time on a Friday afternoon. Very quiet - one guy I spoke
to said that he hardly ever saw anyone other than single guys here. Anyway, as
we were talking, a couple came out of the woods and I immediately recognised the
female half of the two car couple from my Monday visit. The guy got into his
car and drove off, leaving the lady there on her own. So I waited it out and
half an hour later another guy comes in, this one is the guy she was with on
Monday. They pull the van he comes in round to hide everything but from the
feet positions I can see they are playing. I take a walk up the woodland path,
no way past them without being seen - they get into her car. I walk around the
woods and come out on the passenger side of the car where she is sucking him off
in full view. She doesn't seem to mind when she glances at me... ...he notices
and shuts the door! :-( So: when you visit, watch out for the blue Peugeot 306
(hers) - she's late thirties, early forties and maybe watchable with another
partner (there are at least two regular ones)." An excited correspondent
continued: "As I sit writing the above report (wonderful things laptops!), a red
Astra van has pulled in with a very young couple (can't be more than nineteen).
They've parked facing away from me... ...and now they've just driven off. Oh
well..." and another negative comment: "...I was there Monday loads of single
guys - no sign of couples..." Lots of gay activity: "I went to the Wendover
site a couple of days ago and there were two empty cars (one a white BMW) and
one single guy about fifty - I think he was gay - he wandered off and kept
looking back at me - I hung around for a while but the occupiers of the two cars
didn't come back. I think this is mostly gay..." "There's also several picnic
sites further on towards Amersham - I stopped at one and a couple of guy were
hanging around - a young couple came in but didn't stay long" But: "Popped in
there this lunch time to eat my BLT sandwich. Very young couple in tatty old
brown Astra, a bit shy at first but didn't seem to mind being watched as he
shagged her in the passenger seat, maybe they were too involved to notice. She
flashed her tits when she was getting dressed and stuck two fingers up when they
left the car-park. I think we all enjoyed it."
C: Cublington Spinney and Kingsbridge Picnic Area between Stewkley and Dunton,
Bucks - "Very small picnic area but sometimes busy in the summer..." "I checked
the Cublington sites today, saw a woman leaving Cublington Spinney and a man
just returning to his car - I think I had just missed the action." "Couples
either stay in cars or use the riverside path and nearby woodland. Can
sometimes be busy, but not guaranteed." "I didn't have time to visit but if you
follow the road from Cublington there is a sign post for Dunton also there is a
car-park/bird watching site on the Cublington road - saw a couple getting down
to it - but not sure if they were exhibitionists or not..." and "Saw a couple
driving around nearby (blue Astra) - they finally went into the site but left
their car and wandered off - I didn't follow - just in case..."
D: Luton, Stockwood Park - Meljim36 wrote (March 2001): "Very horny wife will

midnight..." "Car-park is in London Road opposite the Mormon church, best time
is after midnight..." and at 11:00am on a Sunday if you want a particularly
appreciative audience, presumably?
E: Luton - Dunstable Downs / Whipsnade - "Dunstable Downs or Whipsnade, both
are renowned for it, about four miles from Luton..."
F: Salcey Forest picnic area and surrounding car-parks - "Doesn't close at
night, not lit and pretty well secluded (about five miles from Northampton town
itself). Have seen various couples both in and out of cars (acres of woodland),
sometimes many gay men hanging around." One sexy couple had a fright: "Thanks
for the list, we have been to the site in Northampton at Salcey Forest and just
as XXXXX was about to get back in the car naked another car pulled in and it was
a Police car so there was a bit of a panic..." Another watcher wrote: "Forest
car-parks are good but some hundred yards beyond the main entrance (coming from
Northampton) is a small 'overflow' car-park which has been used..." And, from
Roker in May 2000: "Had a great time last night in Salcey Forest and just wanted
to let everyone know about it! We found this location because of this Guide
(thanks!). Went with my wife and started to have fun. She unzipped me and
started to suck my cock, then took off her top and bra to show off her firm 34B
tits. A car pulled in opposite us and the couple started to watch. I told my
wife and suggested we got out of the car to put on a show, which we did. I
stood next to the car and she continued to suck me whilst removing my trousers
completely, then she stood and stripped off her skirt and knickers so that she
was naked before going back to work on me! At this point, I waved the other
couple across and they came to watch close-up. The lady put her hand on my
wife's bare arse and started to move towards her shaven pussy. I moved aside
and let the guy start to enjoy the feeling of my wife sucking him. Basically
this went on for a good hour or more and we all got to fuck each other's
partners and also watch the two women together. At one point another guy
started to watch but sadly wouldn't join in. However, there is always another
day! Anyway, I would recommend this spot to anyone looking for action and thank
you again!" "There is a brilliant web site to use we think that it should be
used to show others where the locations are... ...we are getting a bit bored
playing with just the two local couples that we know... ...here is a nice and
simple map showing where Salcey Forest is, if you click on the arrow it will
zoom in and you will see the picnic area listed:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?grid2map?X=479816&Y=252135&arrow=Y&zoom=5
Keep your eyes open for us... ...in a black Honda 4x4... ...we are off up there
now for a play! Another place we go is down in Milton Keynes it's a huge
car-park with lots of thick wooded bits... ...we have had several fun times
there. This location is at:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/streetmap.dll?grid2map?X=487340&Y=240680&arrow=Y&zoom=3
We went to Turners Hill a few weeks ago anyone want a map to the picnic area (we
cheated... ...we used a GPS!)?" "For Salcey Forest Leave M1 at A508 (not M1 J13
I think) and head west. Take little road on left straight after Motorway
junction. Follow this road a mile or so to 'T' junction. Turn right, the
forest is about two miles away on your left."
9. CAMBRIDGESHIRE - GENERAL
A: Brampton Village, near Huntingdon - "River Lane, nights only but plenty of
couples, both in cars and on roadside..."
B: Cambridge, Esprit - "Curtains too short to cover..."
C: Cambridge - Phil wrote of a good time in November 2001: "Well, what can I
say! For the first time in the three years that I have been trying, I watched
and joined in a session in Cambridge last night! It was great, the car-park at
Newnam Common (mostly frequented by gays) was the venue, and a camper van the
bed! Mmmmmmmmm! I will be there again for some more, it's a shame that
Cambridge is not as active as the midlands..." Rob replied: "Where, exactly?
Do you mean the car-park on Lammas Land that you get to from the traffic lights
where Barton Road bends? What time? Did you get any idea of whether it was a
regular location? It is the first I have heard about it, I too had thought
Cambridge was a Dogger's desert..."
D: Grafton - "Just off the A14 at Huntingdon... ...late Friday / Saturday
nights in the main car-park near Grafton... ...it's worth a visit..."
E: March - "Someone told me that March (which is near Wisbech) has a few good
spots? Anyone confirm? Details?"
F: Ferry Meadows, Peterborough - "Adjacent to the Nene Valley railway station
off the A605 is a car-park and picnic area, I have visited this site during the
early evening (legitimately) and noticed furtive couples in cars - worth
investigating further?"
G: Southey Woods, near Peterborough - "This is just off the A1... ...a good
site!" "Afternoon and evenings seem pretty good, and it's quite a secluded
area, with loads of nooks and crannies to park in. Have seen couples in the
woods as well as in cars. Also frequented by gays." "I checked out Southey
Woods on Saturday 6 May 2000 and although it was a little quiet overall I did
find some fun there. The cops turned up at about 1:00am which was a bit
worrying - there were some kids camped out with a bonfire so this may have
alerted them..." Muff Diver wrote (June 2000): "Afternoon and evenings are
pretty good and with some early morning activity, frequented by gays and the dog
walking fraternity. Have seen couples most days in cars and occasionally the
woods, with some excellent shows. Watch out for a red Jag and an Indian 4x4,
the latter of which being a lovely mover. Shall be checking out more sites in
Peterborough area, has anyone any comments on Wansford, Caster and the
embankment? Keep up the good work!" "To find Southey Woods, leave A1 at A47 go
east and look for the park picnic area, take next left then first right. Drive a
couple of miles past farm round sharp right and woods on left are where it
happens..."
10. CARLISLE AREA
A: Carlisle - "Two and a half miles from Brampton on north side of road heading
west on A69 - toilets with multiple phone numbers and ads / comments re cars
etc. From M6 take J43 onto A69, follow signs for Brampton for approx five miles
then take turn off at farm onto lay-by leading to toilets (closed at night) and
picnic area. Used by truckers (parked up on the lay-by), couples and gays, some
Police presence." "The good lady has enjoyed a fair few encounters at the
Carlisle site, she enjoys flashing from the car then attending to her visitors
thru the open car window, all good fun..." (TLK) "The site at Carlisle has just
opened again. It's been closed all summer after 6:00pm due to foot and mouth.
They have cut down a lot of the bushes, and now have lights on the small
car-park by the toilets. Fun can still be had further up the lay-by. The
lay-by was closed after 6:00pm due to the fact that people were going through
the gaps in the hedges into the fields for sex..." Al wrote: "The toilets were
open twenty-four hours. Due to a lot of gay activity they now close them at

D: General - "Broxworth could be a little overbearing for a first time, usually
a lot of men waiting for action. Styal car-park on the river has quietened down
and Dunham is still OK. There's also the picnic area on the Chester Road don't
know the name of the area but it's by the well known blue bridge..."
12. CLEVELAND - GENERAL
A: Billingham, Middlesborough - "I have heard of a lay-by in the north-east
near Middlesborough on the A19 just outside of Billingham where people go on
Sunday evenings. The car-park and toilet is the most active area left since the
local council seem dedicated to removing these areas... ...shame really."
B: Great Ayton, Middlesborough - "Car-park just outside of Great Ayton, where
couples go for sex in their cars, and a toilet with peep-holes, the car-park is
located at Newton-under-Roseberry, just outside of Great Ayton near
Middlesborough."
C: Redcar - "One good area - particularly on a Saturday morning is in Redcar -
head out towards the British Steel plant, past the golf course until you come to
a small electrical sub-station. Turn left just before this, follow the road for
a couple of hundred yards and wait for fun. There are usually up to three/four
couples there and during the day is livelier than in the evening!" "...The
Doggers Guide mentions Redcar in Cleveland as a good spot to go to... ...I live
within five miles of Redcar and went on a recce today... ...the Guide says head
for the steel plant then past a golf course until you come to a sub-station...
...well, I couldn't find it... ...and I don't think it exists... ...don't know
who sent you the info but would really like to find a local spot... ....for
doing the deed! Cheers and beers, Hughie." "The sand dunes at Cotham on a warm
sunny weekend afternoon will get couples there, I have personally have had a
couple of encounters here, although you have to walk round and look carefully to
find the action. However once again the area is also used by gays so you need
to careful when walking around. Access to the area is via the A1085 trunk road,
left at the lights at Loke Park, to the roundabout, left here through Warrenby,
right at the next roundabout, follow the road 'til you find several cars parked
at the road side, park there and the walk into the dunes..."

A: Haytor / Haldon Hill - "The woods at haldon just outside of Exeter, follow
A38 up Haldon Hill, turn left at top of hill, turn left at mini roundabout and
the car-park is about five hundred yards on the left..." Debbie and Glyn from
Exeter wrote (September 2001): "We used to use Haytor but it went very quiet,
anyone got any ideas where a couple can play, preferably with other couples
watching or joining in?" And they got a response: "Hi, we actually went to
Haldon Hill, off A380, to meet you last week at 11:00pm but the car-park had
what looked like a gypsy camp, wagon/van work tools etc, looked like they are
staying there, went to the next one along the guys there where more interested
in me than the wife! We called it a night and went home. If you turn right at
the mini-roundabout there are two car-parks down there and that's where we play,
look for Bullers Hill car-park..." "Bloody new age travellers at Haldon Hill.
The best place for Dogging in South Devon has been invaded by about three
hundred New Age idiots. They have taken over all three car-parks with about
forty vehicle and what a mess! So where do we go from here, Mamhead or Shaldon
seem the best choices..."

back over towards Torquay road and off under A30 towards nowhere. In Torquay
direction there is a little car-park on left, I've seen a couple of fabulous
shows here. Go under the A30 and it goes off into some woods, lotsa places
here. Last time I was down that way I met a couple in their late teens in these
woods and watched them perform on the bonnet of their car. She let me clean her
up after with my tongue, great fun."
B. Plymouth - Wiggly Worm fancies a quick tuck beside the sea: "For those that

past. This is a large car-park on top of the cliffs overlooking the sea. Very
dark and although busy, can be great fun when you tuck away up in the top
corner..."
C: Plymton, Plymouth - "Chaplins car-park in Plymton, we have had many a great

D: Slapton Sands, South Devon - "We go to a nudist beach in South Devon.
Slapton Sands (Strete Gate end). You can find couples there most sunny days

but I live some distance away and have only visited two or three times..."

first turn left and go down the steep hill all the way down, at the bottom you
will need to bear right and head up right through the park to nearly the rail

D: Dorchester - "just a mile or less out of dorchester towards poole, there was
a car being heaverly dogged by truck drivers in that laybye on the left looked
most promicing is this a normal doggers place this lay-bye?" wrote Optic.
E: Henstridge - "Picnic area about three miles east of Henstridge on A30. Gays
around wooded area. Couples meet mornings / lunchtimes for shows and using the
field behind sub station..."
F: Poole: - "My name is Mike and I live in Poole. I'm 35 slim and fit. I would
love to meet you in a quiet car-park to watch you... ...how about as you head
towards Sand Banks and turn left to Shore Road just on the left is a car-park
see you there at about 10:30pm - I drive a red sports car..." Thanks, Mike.
G: Sturminster - "Newton Mill and picnic area just off the A357 can be good...
...you can't miss it, it's just past the traffic lights on the right on main
A357..." "...going to Sturminster (Newton Mill picnic area) tonight, anybody out
there want some fun... ...can always bring a female along..." "...sturminster
newton mill is very good near blanford..." wrote Optic.
H: Weymouth, Eypes Mouth - "Eyemouth, between Bridport and Lyme Regis, go right
down to the beach, lovely little car-park, no chance of a chance meeting though,
would need to make arrangements. Shame it wasn't last week, as me and the wife
were at Eyemouth Thursday night. Back home now though..." A Freudian slip, or
two? John L wrote (June 2000): "Here's a correction to the Guide for Dorset.
The site should read 'Eypes Mouth' and it is three miles West of Bridport on the
coast. Turn off the Bridport bypass and head for Eype. Straight through the
village leads down to the coast at Eypes Mouth which is where it all happens.
Another site is Trinity Hill just East of Axminster on the A35. Coming from the
East after you pass the Hunters Lodge pub turn left and follow the road until
you reach the large area of pine woods. There are numerous tracks leading off
all over the place. An ideal site!"
17. DURHAM - GENERAL
A: Darlington - "I have a heard reports that the lay-by at Swan House in
Darlington has some action in place. This is located about one and a half to
two miles along the Darlington to Corbridge road and is surrounded by trees,
there is a secluded path leading away from the area, and I am told this is where
the action takes place. The site is also used by the local gay community."
B: Causey Arch, near Beamish - "A picnic area at Beamish (near the museum)..."
"A great site for couples and singles is Causey Arch car-park, between Sunnyside
and Stanley, five miles from Gateshead, plenty to 'see and do'" However,
opinions differ quite widely on this one: "Caution: monitored by Police as it is
a gay area, with a public toilet open all hours. It also has a bad reputation
for car theft as it is screened from the main road." "To find Causey Arch,
leave Stanley along the road to Sunnyside. You will drive along a long flat road
out of town and on the right is a pub called 'The Causey Arch'. Turn left over
the railway crossing and left again into the picnic area, where there are three
small car-parks. Miss the first entrance and you can always creep in the second
one, further down the hill. There is a walk down to the old Arch bridge, and
some activities have been seen in summer." "LOTS of gay activity at Causey
Arch, men going into bushes together etc... ...still seen nothing hetero here,
despite the best efforts of the wife and myself!" (TLK)
C: Rushyford - "Off A1 take exit for A689 to Rushyford, south of Durham.
Before roundabout is a long lay-by behind trees. Gay area but known for couples
as well. If couples in here it is probable they are looking for action."
D: Seaham Harbour - "Reports of a couple parking next to toilet block and
looking for involvement, although this report is not recent. Note - gay area."
E: Stanley Frewd - "Car-park on back road behind 'The Causey Arch' pub turn
right past the pub, and down the hill (car-park is
